STUCK
Assemblage project

In todays time, it is almost impossible to imagine the world without technology. Anything and everything that we do or need can be brought to us by a simple touch on our mobile phones. What we do not realise is the toll that it takes on nature. Referencing Jack Henry’s ‘Landfill' I have created this assemblage work where I embedded old mother boards and cellphone backs in cement blocks. The cement is used as the bounding element, representing nature. The exposed electronic pieces show how technology always leaves its mark in nature for both good and bad. The work is titled ‘Stuck’ because it is uncertain if technology is helping us or destroying us.
